Polyurethane and Elastomers

This is a category of chemicals that is growing very rapidly. PU Foam (Rigid, Semi Rigid and Flexible) has a number of applications in construction, automotive industry and home decor. Rigid Foam finds use both in industrial and commercial construction. It is used as cold insulation for pipes carrying low temperature fluids. It is also used for insulation of ducts in air conditioning in large commercial buildings (Airports, Office complex etc).

PTMEG

Used as a key building block for polyurethane elastomers, which are used in a variety of applications, including wheels, hoses, tubing, and tank and pipelines. PTMEG is used to make prepolymers that have improved flow properties and dynamic properties. PTMEG is used to make spandex fibers that are used in a variety of garments, including activewear, swimwear, and undergarments.

1,4-Butanediol

Used as a chemical intermediate in the manufacturing of various polymers and plastics. It is used in the production of polyurethanes, which are widely utilized in foams, coatings, adhesives, and elastomers.

MOCA

Used as a curing agent for polyurethane and elastomeric compounds. Hardener for plastics and rubber.

TCPP

Used as a flame retardant in polyurethane (PU) rigid and flexible foam, PVC, EVA and phenolic and epoxy resin.

Propylene carbonate

Used as a solvent for PU and Lithium-ion battery. Paint stripper in the Paints Industry. It is also used as a plasticizer for polyurethane foams and coatings.

Polyols

Polyols are a key component of polyurethane systems, which are used in a variety of applications such as insulation in the construction industry and are used in vehicle coatings, such as protective coatings for cable jacketing.
