Paints, Coatings and Inks
This group of chemicals consists of raw materials for Alkyd Resins, Pigments, Solvents etc. used in manufacturing Resins for Paints and Inks. It also includes pigments like TiO2 and additives like MEKO.
Castor oil
Used in various applications such as lubricants, hydraulic and brake fluids, paints, dyes, coatings, inks, plasticizers in lacquers, PU coatings, adhesive removers. Castor Oil is also a raw material for production of Sebacic acid, Nylon –11.
DCO
Applications include those in the paint/coatings and ink industry. It is also used in the textile industry as a softening agent in the finishing of fabrics. Other applications include uses in the manufacturing of sealants and adhesives.
DCO FA
Mainly used in the manufacturing of alkyd resins and polyamides used for making numerous paint and printing inks formulations. Interior and exterior can coatings, appliance finishes, automotive topcoats, primers, coil coatings, tube coatings, marine finishes, overprint varnishes and high-speed printing inks.
Gum Rosin
Main uses are in the manufacturing of alkyd resins, ink resins, paper sizing where it which improves the strength, smoothness, and wear resistance of paper and synthetic rubbers where it is used as a softener. It’s also used to promote adhesion between rubber layers.
Maleic Anhydride
Maleic anhydride has many industrial applications, including the production of resins, paints, and coatings. It is used as a key building block in the production of alkyd resins. It is also used in paints, coatings, and as a resin modifier.
Titanium Dioxide
Used as pigment in paints and inks. It c eates brilliant white colors. In plastics and rubber, it helps stabilize and make materials more durable, heat resistant, and UV resistant.
Adipic Acid
The most common use of Adipic Acid is the production of Nylon 6, 6 it is also used in coatings, plasticizer industry and polymer production.
Pentaerythritol
Used in the manufacturing of alkyd resins and varnishes, production of polyvinyl chloride stabilizers, plasticizers, and antioxidants. Other uses include dialectic fluids for transformers and pyrotechnics.
MEKO
Is primarily used as an anti-skinning agent. It also prevents paint from forming a skin before use, especially in alkyd paints. Meko helps pigments remain stable and uniform in color over time. It is also a paint quality enhancer and improves paint durability, reduces odors, and speeds up drying.
